be wild! stay focus...

Dear Film maker to be,
first, go 4 it. 20days later you will be sleepless for months.

limit the # of takes -HDV tape is cheap but this is crazy to shoot HDV with more than u need in takes as actor feel upset and u will have long night to go thru the takes.

I think you must check the focus as my HC1 is not very good to show in focus or not except i use the expand focus to check.

image wise, i think HC1 has less function so Fx1 should be easily match with it but not vice versa. a careful adjustment between 2 cameras makes a perfect intercut and save a lot in post to match them.

action movie - may be u set the shutter speed faster may help.

check this site for lorin's how to capture with freeware - DVHS cap and virtualdubmpeg, this will save a lot of time for u to encode uncompress/huffy codec avi out.

however , up to now i still have problem to output it back to HDV as m2t.

last - stock up vitamin C and lots of coffee.

enjoy ur wild dreams

Yep the HC1 has an AIS mount which is a bit of a pain as no 'normal' external mics will fit direct.

One solution is to buy a tripod-socket adaptor which will give you a normal cold-shoe mount and then the Rode mic will go straight on.

Not bad, but can I suggest something? A tripod.

The transition from the buildings to the woman was nice, but the shake makes it look kind of cheap. Even a monopod would do the trick.

Oh ok...just making sure. Send us the final result. I'd love to see it as I am working on a little project myself.
