Oh no! Bad tape problem...
O.K I was shooting a meeting video last night with my HC-9 and when I hit record an error message appeared saying that my tape head needed cleaning. The warning covered most of the LCD screen. I put in a new tape and it seemed to record just fine. I shot three tapes total.
The first tape however has a problem with its first three minutes. I don't get a video signal (blue screen) but I do get the time code. However, if I play-fast forward I can see the video image--but it goes back to blue screen when I enter play again. Any idea on how to get these three minutes off the tape. I've cleaned the heads, of course and tried a second camcorder (HC-7) but no improvement. Help! --Darin |

Anyone? Guesses?
I'll send this off to Sony Media Services on Monday but would love to resolve it more quickly... Thanks, --Darin |
