Sony Brand Consumer Microphones -- Any Good?
Are the Sony brand mics any good? I'd like to make use of the "Active Accessory Shoe" to provide power and be able to have a clean mount without any adapters. I'm not a professional, but would appreciate decent sound quality. Do the Sony mics cut it? It's hard to find any reviews of the Sony mics.
I know this is more of a professional-level community, so these mics might be "beneath" many of you, but I'd appreciate any comments on them. I know I can get a Beachtek XLR adapter, but do I really need it for "daddy cam" use? ECM-HGZ1 Shotgun Mic ECM-MSD1 High Grade Stereo Mic Thanks, -Mike P.S.: Is there any difference between the "Active Accessory Shoe" and the "Intellegent Accessory Shoe"? They seem to use the phrasing haphazardly, I'm not sure if they are the same thing or not. Last edited by Mike Farrington; June 9th, 2005 at 11:32 AM. |
