Anyone use a Redrock micro 35mm adapter with the A1?
So does anyone have this set up with rails and all? I'm thinking of getting the whole set up with matte box and all for my A1. How easy is its set up and how well does it performance? Any issues? Via some adapters can it be easily used on other larger cams for future camera upgrades? Thanks.

Hi Pasha,
I'm currently using the Letus Extreme and associated gear on my Z1 with the intent of adapting it for use on my A1 for 'portability'. I use the letus rails, RR follow focus and RR mattebox (which is an excellent piece of kit but huge!) and Nikon lenses and when setup it effectively doubles the length and weight of the Z1. Very pleased with the current setup and the resulting images and with the right lighting the A1 should perform well too. Remember with the A1 mounted to rails you'll need to use a spacer (cavision has one) in order to change the tapes without having to remove the camera from the rest of the rig each time. Sorry my response is not specific to the RR adapter/A1 combo ... Alan |
