Importing HDV in FCS 2
Hello everyone,
I am new to the hdv and I was wandering what are the correct settings (capture, audio video) in Final Cut Pro 6. my material is shot in Pal 25fps 1440X1080. It seems that when I import my footage and despite the fact that the sequence settings are for Pixel Aspect Ratio 1440X1080, Field dominance Lower (even), Editing timebase: 25fps, QuickTime video settings: HDV 1080i50 when I start to work on my piece the Editing timebase locks at 29.97 fps. Then how do I downgrade to SD. Your help is much appreciated |

More information
Hello Pavlos,
Which camera are you using? Not all cameras can capture at 25fps. FCP is pretty good at detecting what your camera is shooting, so if your camera is set to 29.97 (30fps) then that is what your sequence should be. If you are trying to convert your content from 30fps to 25fps, that is another story. There are several ways it can be done. However, I'm not the best resources to tell you how to do it. But let's start with your camera cause if it is supposed to be capturing at 25fps then that is easier to figure out. |
