HC7 Helmetcam - since you have been wondering

I was experimenting this weekend and encountered the Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day. I wanted to test the setup without the wide angle (it looks a little soft). The video is mine and is without any post stabilization. No color correction or effects (the stills are from other riders at events around Georgia.) OIS on, fully auto, xy color on, uv filter. Converted in suite (Avid Liquid 7.2) to SD WMV @ 5Mbps (single pass).

108MB download SD

29MB download 360x240 at 1Mbps

Notes on the setup

For what it's worth, it looks very nice, and the footage looks good, considering the circumstances.

Thanks. I have been working with better riding technique. Pedaling is still a little rough, but the downhill is getting smoother. I can run Mecalli on it too to clean it up, but it does add some noise to the video.

i strapped my A1U to my old mtb helmet,
i got some pretty sick Backflip and superman shots.. i was so close i almost got kicked in the face mid air (3:53mins), wide angle doesn't do it justice but you get the idea.
yeah thats me in the Vish section, i'm out for a few weeks on a Torn acl.
enjoy

Just a warning, NSFW lang. on Vish's post.

Great follow shoots! Extra points for the jib. And points for you and getting the still shooter with your bike (I think that was you).

Vish, I started a thread in MTBR in the video section. Those guys have to see it. Called it "Hawai'ian Style"
