Hey DSE (or anyone else in the know) will this thing work with the Canon XH-A1?

Yes, it will work with any DV or HDV camcorder. What won't work, is that the V1 has proprietary software built in that allows the user to see "inside" the DR60 via the V1 LCD panel, so you're not having to scroll through menus on the front of the DR60.

Having never used something like the DR-60 I have a few basic questions.
Can you transfer a tape that was recorded using the V1U to the DR-60 (play from the V1U and record using DR-60)? Can you play and monitor recordings made with the DR-60 using the V1U's HDMI output (I assume the DR-60 has no outputs itself)? Is there a way to convert an analog signal (component/composite) to an HDV stream that the DR-60 can record? Thanks, Brian |

Quick question for DSE --
I just received my DR-60 and admittedly haven't read the manual. I've managed to do tapeless recording, but is it really not possible to eliminate the yellow flashing "no tape inserted" indicator on the cam? It's quite annoying flashing right in the middle of the display... Last edited by Brent Kolitz; March 1st, 2007 at 09:56 AM. |
