Expresscard34 reader or firewire for CF cards?

Up to this point, I've been using a cheap USB reader to transfer footage from my CF cards/Sony MRC1 to my mac. I have an older 17" Macbook Pro with the Expresscard34 slot. Which reader should be faster, the card or firewire?

Having a heck of a time finding either one locally (Dallas/Ft. Worth).

I guess it would be faster but how much data are you coping?

Is the PC USB1 or USB2? USB2 is 60mb/s.
