Which I did! In fact, every time I put a card on MRC1 I will do a format. Today I'll film a event. Let's see how it works!

Well, I don't think you need to reformat every time. In fact, many people report better results from just doing an "erase all."
But when you do reformat, it must be in the unit, not, as you indicated above, in the reader attached to your PC.

I'm thinking of buying one of these to try out. I usually shoot two/three camera weddings, but I have some other things that would be nice to use this on if it's a single event even.
So, over all, has everyone been happy with the unit? I have a Sony Z1u and two Sony V1us that I can use this on. Thanks in advance for the opinions. I'm going to put the max cards in it as well, so this thread was helpful.

I'm using them over an year and I can say I'm satisfied with them. 2 lexar 400x 32Gb and 2 transcend 400x 32Gb.
