I think i never captured properly with the CF card
HI Guys
What Ive been doing which i think might have been silly now is just transferring the HVR folder from the CF card to a hard drive for storage using my card reader not the sony unit that doesn't dock but thats another story When i open the log & transfer window it does not recognize the files Warning "unsupported media or has an invalid directory structure. Please choose a folder whose directory structure matches supported media" I guess i need a third party program to transfer the clips any thoughts |

First thing is to check your version of FCP has to be the latest, if not use Clipwrap.
Second if you have the latest FCP use the free Sony software here in the UK we can download via the HVR Z7E website.... This is what is mentioned earlier in the forum hope this helps. James |

I worked it out i just put everything back onto the CF card opened up FCP and then log & Transfer and it worked.
