Wide Angle Converters?

Hi,

I know that generally people donīt recommend using wide angle converters. Iīve never used these converters myself. I just wonder if anybody here owns one and is absolutely satisfied with it? Is there anything comparable to the 2/3" model I just found on bhphoto?! I assume that this is the 2/3" model, or am I wrong? http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...ughType=search ?

Thanks for your comments,
Emanuel

For which lens do you want one? The one you've linked is the wide angle adapter which Canon is officially recommending for the KH20x6.4 though.

I'm interested in users opinions as well with these things.

it would be for my KH20x6.4. Do they recommend this lens? It says something about 2/3" as "Format" which confused me a bit ......

Thanks,
Emanuel

I attached a picture of the wide-angle converter I saw. Does this work with my KH20x6.4 lens, when using the 85II adapter ring?!

You may also want to check out the Red Eye Wide angle adapter. Studio had a piece on it last year.

cheers

no they arenīt. I just studied several tests and PDF-documents. Itīs a great tool though. I think I was looking for exactly this sort of thing. Also the price @ Ģ295 for the 82mm model seems to be absolutely amazing, donīt you think?

Right it's not zoom through, but on my Fuji 18 X 5.5 BERM there is enough focus range using the Macro lever that the lens is useable from 5.5 to about 20 mm should you need to recompose the shot a bit. There is a very slight vignetting in the corners visible in the viewfinder (F350) I don't notice it when played back to a WS TV.

cheers
