straight dv in with xdcam hd
so i can do a straight dub without a computer, from an old dv tape to an xdcam disc. Can't seem to get it to work. Is there a setting somewhere for this?

The firewire is out only, same as DSR570 etc.

is that a eu tax issue, disabled so it isn't classified as video recorder, like the jvc 100 etc? Perhaps accesible from the menus? If not what is the reasoning behind it. I don't think it is a EU tax only issue. The US version doesn't record through firewire either and that is a bit of a disappointment over the standard def XDCAM cameras who can.
