Canon or Fujinon?
Any thoughts on which one to go with:
Canon KH20x6.4 KRS $9-800 list Fujinon XS17.5.5BRM/BRD $8-890 list Focal lengths aside, is there likely to be much difference in quality between the two? I know they are the low end options from each manufacturer respectively, but like many others I'm sure, one of these will have to do for now. Are they likely to be much of a step up in terms of glass from the Canon servo lens Sony is offering with the F330? Hey thanks guys. |

In the UK the Fujinon is more expensive than the Canon and i was told by my dealer that the Fuji lens won't be available before the end of sept.
My guess is that both of these will be better than the servo lens, but buy how much I don't know. I have just ordered the Canon at £4,900 + VAT

The KH20 is a nice lens. I can't comment on how well it performs technically compared to other lenses. But I was told by Canon that the optics are of the same quality as the other 1/2" lenses in the range, which in turn are as good as (if not better than) other Canon broadcast lenses.
The KH20 just lacks the Digital Drive functions and 2x extender of the other 1/2" lenses in the range, hence the lower price. Build quality wise though the KH20 is as good as any other Canon broadcast lense I have used. |
