Two kinds!

http://bssc.sel.sony.com/Broadcastan...ot/index.shtml

One for standard 60i, 24p, 25p, the other is probably going to compete with the HVX200--slow motion and fast motion.

List prices, according to Sony:

330: around $17,000. This is the one that does only 24p, 25p, 60i.

350: around $27,000. This is the one that does slo-mo, etc.

Is that 17K with or without lense?

I think there are 3 iterations of the models.

I think the $17k is an F330 without a lens. Then there is a slightly higher priced version with the lens. The listed price for the F350 is without a lens I believe.

I think we'll need to round up some data on available Canon & Fuji 1/2" HD lenses.

(I'm aware of the adapter to allow 2/3" HD lenses -- but that's some expensive glass)

Doubt it. The high frame rates are half rez. No ramping either, so it's not going direct up against Varicam either.

Graeme,

Does that happen on the HVX, too?

No, the HVX200 has the same resolution at ALL 720p frame rates.

Sony can only seem to record at 60i or 50i, hence no way to do 60p or 50p - they have to embed in interlace hence the problem of half rez.
