What is an f1.6 prism system?

The PXW-X320 specs list it as having an f1.6 prism system.

I like the camera, and I like even more that Canon makes a KH21x lens that has a CONSTANT f1.4 aperture. Would I be able to take advantage of that sweet f1.4 lens, (I can snag one with extender for $4,000USD) or is there some f1.6 optical limit in the front end of the camera?

I don't think there is currently a better low light capable ENG camera than the X320 at f11/12@2000 and f1.4 even at maximum telephoto! 60db s/n ratio ain't bad either.
