Ingesting files help, please
I will be shooting with the F800 next week and using the Sony PDW-U1 for ingesting
the files. Questions: What is the required software I need to install on the Mac if all I need to do is ingest the files (all of them) from each disc and make sure they are there? Any idea on how long it takes to copy everything from a 23 or 50 gig disc? Thanks for the help on this : )

Re: Ingesting files help, please
Download and install Sony's XDCAM Browser 2.0 software. But from there, your workflow really depends on your NLE. Ingesting a 23GB disc takes about 12-18 minutes. Double that for a 50GB disc.

If you don't already have this drive software for the PDW-U1, you can find it here:
