Where's the 320?
I had thought the 320 would be released by now. Has anyone bought one yet?

I would love someone to compare the EX3 and 320's image quality because they use different lenses. I need to add an interchangeable lens camera for greater zoom and the 320's lens might work great and be cheaper than an EX3 + a longer lens. I heard that the 320 is about a stop more sensitive too.

I posted a review of the 320 on my blog along with some frame grabs done side by side with an EX3. XDCAM-USER.com PMW-320. Surprisingly Good!
It was interesting to put the two up together as they use the same sensors but different lenses and processing. Overall the 320 did produce a better image with a little less noise than the EX3. Almost all of this improvement comes from the processing as I tried the 320 lens on the EX3 and there was not much difference, if any. Frankly I was pleasantly surprised by the 320 because up until actually testing it I was struggling to see why you would buy a 320 over an EX3. Having seen the pictures I would consider one myself. It's not as good as the 350, but pretty close.

Thanks for the writeup Alister. I do which this camera was out a few years ago. B&H has it listed for $11,900 with the lens. I wonder if it will sell for lower once it is in stock. That is a $7,000 difference to the PMW-350. Basically the cost of an additional EX-1.

Delivery of the 320 has been delayed, but it should be in stock again in a couple weeks. The Sony program price is $11,900, so that's the lowest price it will sell for in the US. I'll post when we it become available.
