What do you mean by the scene files can't be used? Do you mean they won't load from a stick? 'Cos if they don't you can always input them manually, doesn't take that long.

BBC setup for HDCAM
Hi there, you could try starting with the BBC recommended setups for the HDW790 which is a similar cam.
BBC - R&D - Publications - WHP034 - Addendum 22 Only issue is that the 650 is a lot more sensitive so you might have to adjust gain accordingly. Dave |

Dave from what I remember the 650 is similar to the PDW700 rather than the HDW790. It more or less IS a PDW700 but with tape rather than discs.

thanks
Yes Sir physically it's the same as the PD-700 only it's tape based instead of the disc. Been running thru the bbc appendum and didn't find any on the hdw-650r , i'll try to physically do the scene setting from pd-700 to the hdw-650 and give you the inputs to it.... thanks guru's....

Yes the 650 uses the same sensors and processing as the PDW-700 so the scene files for the 700 should work correctly. I'm surprised that you can't load the scene files of a memory stick, I would have thought that they would be the same.

Yes Mr Chapman it's able to recognize the scene file but when i try to execute it errors and it display not for the camera model. my guess is the hdw 650 has the same built and CCD like the Pd 800 not the Pd 700 , it has dual wheel filter for the CC and ND.

Been using the camera for the past 10 days, has loadsa functions similar to the Pd-800 , the undercranking really works well especially for nite establishing shots without even lighting up the whole building, focus assist really2 helps at times and it could flip if using the letus adaptor without any hassles . Its relatively low in power consumption compared to the Pd-800 and it's not as hot as Pd-800 after operating for hours .
