Older 1/2" JVC-lens on F330?
I recently bought a second hand PDW-F330 camcorder. Most of the time I use it in SD/DVCAM 16:9 widescreen mode. For very little money there are some older wide angle lenses around meant for e.g. the JVC DV-500. For example:
Marktplaats.nl > Prof. lens voor o.a. JVC, Panasonic, Philips 1/2 inch camera - Audio, Tv en Foto - Professionele Audio-, Tv- en Video-apparatuur Is there an option to fit this lens on the F330 and how would it perform? Can I connect the lensconnecter to my camcorder or uses JVC a different connector? Will it fill 100% of my sensor (no black corners)? Does an older lens just knock down the quality of XDCAM or would it probably work better than you would expect? |

The Panasonic 1/2" mount is different to the Sony mount, so it won't fit. You can use 1/2" SD Sony mount lenses. The higher quality ones work reasonably well.
