Sony F350, Shutter on or off for Pal
Oh yes the shutter question again, but this time it's the Sony F350.
I'm a Pal user and my questions are..... should the shutter be on or off? Should I have it set to second or degree? How come I can only get 1/60 and not 1/50 for Pal. I thought that 1/60 was for NTSC and Pal was 1/50. Need some advice on this please. Thanks |

If you're shooting interlaced then shutter off.
In progressive, On at half the frame rate (or better yet 180 degrees). If the camera doesn't have 1/50th then 1/60th will be OK - don't know why it wouldn't though. Steve |

The camera will only give you 1/60th as an option in interlace mode because when the shutter is off you are already at 1/50th. In progressive scan mode however the 1/50th option will be there.
