Error on PDW-U1 at DVinfo.net

Hey,

A couple of questions:

1. I have a fast flashing warning light when in insert a disk into the U1. The Utility software gives me a 20-211 error code. What is it.

This one might be dumb but....
2. The firmware is 1.090. I have a Intel laptop with Mac OS 10.5.8, which should be OK to Upgrade the Firmware on the u1, but will the u1 still work on the older G5 mac tower?

I have submitted the question to Sony and I'll post it here if they respond.

The error points to a problem with the optics, though this could also be occurring if the U-1 is trying to read a disc with a format that the early firmware does not recognize.

I think it was the bump on an airplane, or the baggage handler.
