Ethernet
Has anyone tried connecting the 700 via Ethernet - either directly to a computer or to a network?
I keep getting a couple of errors when trying to connect (on a mac). Followed all the settings in the manual, but still no luck. Also googled it quite extensively, but couldn't find anything. Thanks! Jeff Halperin ZenHD ZenVideo - HD high-definition video production and editing |

I can't speak specifically for the 700, but with the SD XDCAM's we had to use PDZ-1 to access the camera via Ethernet.

Hey Simon
I've tried it out and had some good luck with it. You can watch my free video series on the camera.. in the File Access Mode section I cover connecting with Ethernet. Abel Cine Tech - Abel’s Sony PDW-700 XDCAM Camera Tour Hope you like it.

be sure to type "unnecessary" zeros, too
DONT type 192.168.2.1. TYPE 192.168.002.001 instead (in the cam or the deck). ULI |
