PDW-700 update to 1.1 at DVinfo.net

Hi,

I found the new firmwareversion on the Sony-HP for download, and also a short manual about the update. But this short description refers to the maintenance-manual of the camera. I only know I can use a USB-Stick or the Network. But I do not know how to perform the update exactly.

Do you have any Ideas? How did you update your firmware? Is it the same procedure like in the 3xx-series?

Hi Robert,
I already update our PDW-700 following these instructions (you can find them on http://www.dmclive.net/:

How to update Your PDW 700
The data is placed in the root directory of a standard USB Memory key.

No special directory structure required - unlike PDW-510/530 etc.

Plug key into the USB slot on the camera handle.
How to update Your PDW 700
Top Menu > Diagnosis > Page D03 Rom Version 1

Hold in the rotary encoder button until upgrade option appears - Message
"Searching Package File" will be displayed.

Note: If message does not appear, exit and re-enter page and hold down
button again (accidental pressing of button will inhibit operation).

When Package V1.10 is found - confirm and then upgrade will start.

Upgrade takes approx 20mins.

V1.10 gives the addition of 25PsF option only.
