With all due respect Alessandro, we don't have many folks on this forum using the 750 or other HDCAM cameras. Just wanted to let you know in case you don't get any replies right away.
Thanks, -gb- |

Best for what?
Video documentary, Film output (feature film), Commercial ? I have not used the 750P, but the HDW f900 should have a similar menu structure. Here is a starting point. HDW-F900 Menus - Paint Is this your camera or a rental ? If a rental, then I would have the rental house help you set up the camera to the look you are after. You need a broadcast HD monitor and scopes to setup this camera beyond the standard settings. |

Without doubt Alan Roberts' BBC settings, at BBC - R&D - Publications - WHP034
These give the best dynamic range and most info for grading. Steve |

Great resource Steve.
It's interesting tough that they have settings for a lot of "small cameras"but not for the EX-1 and 3. Thank you. |

Alan does these for the BBC and they don't accept the EX cameras as full broadcast spec so he hasn't been asked to do them. Apparently he was just about to but then they told him not to bother.
These settings I find make a big difference on Varicam (these were the settings used on "Planet Earth") and Sony 750. Steve |

Thank you to all.
The camera is my property. I use Hdcam for documentary, commercial, film for television (fiction) all in 50i. The actual setting is a "BBC setting" with my customs. |

Wow, those BBC reports are thorough, very informative. I definitely got some good tips for my Z1 from it.
Now if only they'd look at the XDCAM HD line. The XDCAM SD line that they have there seems too different from my XDCAM HD to be useful.

Be careful with the settings for Z1, I have heard from a colleague that they tended to make it look overly soft, but not used one myself.

Oh, by the way, apparently Alan is going to do setup for the PDW700 as the Beeb seem to be showing interest in it.
