A little update to the strange "Orb" phenomenon-
Reading through the Sony F350 manual again I came across page 164 where it states- "Phenomena Specific to CCD image Sensors" It states that, white flecks can be seen in certain conditions and that it is not a malfunction, it goes on to say that the problem may be relieved by doing a black balance. As we had already noticed a stuck/dead pixel, this operation was performed, and so far the camera has not displayed any "Orbs" and we have shot quite a bit of undercrank / overcrank footage since. The white flecks they are referring to are hot pixels and normally stationary.
