copy just the proxy files...can you?
I have a need to copy just the proxy files of 8, XDCAM HD discs next friday.
I will need to upload those to a client so they can see what they have to work with, viewing them through the proxy software. is it just as simple as finding a small .mxf file on the disc or is it much more involved? What am I looking for exactly? |

Give them the whole \sub folder, and have them download the proxy viewer from sony.com/xdcamhd. Once copied, I rename the sub folder to the name of the disk, to make things a little easier to keep track of.

the \sub folder is literally a folder on the disc called "sub" ?
does it only contain the proxies? I can't upload 25GB of files. don't mean to annoy you, just confirming. :) |

Hi Mark,
yes, the "SUB" folder only contains the lowres files (proxies). YouŽll find the corresponding hd files in the folder called "CLIPs" ULI |
