Closed Caption in HD
I know some folks on this forum do broadcast work with XDCAM-HD. We use Final Cut as our editor, and use a program called Mac-Caption to put our closed caption info on our edited masters.
How are you doing closed caption on your HD work? We're having problems even finding HD monitors that have closed caption capabilities. |

I was told by the Mac Caption folks that it's not yet supported in HD, and that the issue is really with Aja...I emailed Aja and they said they aren't really concerned about it right now. Of course I disagree, but more people need to speak up and demand that they do something to assist us in our broadcast delivery requirements.

Maybe you need to encode that stream separately then when broadcast, the stream will be muxed in with the MPEG stream by the station.
