Frame Rates
Can any one share best practices when mixing frames rates in the edit suite, using FCP. IF a project was shot in 24P and there is existing footage in 60i, what have you found to be a best practice to mixing frames rates.
In FCP using a 24p time line and then inserting 60i material it is jerky, it discards frames.

FCP has never been very good at frame rate conversion, as you say it either dumps or adds frames with no form of smoothing or interpolation. Nattress has a very good FCP frame rate conversion plug-in that gives a much better result.
I wold work at the frame rate of the majority of your material, or your final output frame rate.
