Wanted to see how digital zoom performed at 4X using my 28-135 at maximum telephoto with lots of gain. Each scene has two clips, the first part being shot at 4K 30p 100Mbps, the second at 720p30 mp4 6Mbps. I added a 5.0 sharpening filter to the timeline, and this is what popped out. I shoot ENG for an ABC station, so 720p performance is what really matters to me.
Will be doing more real world on scene testing with distant objects over the next few days, and will update with new test clips, maybe 1080p vs as well.
