Slog 2 Footage
Hey everyone i was thinking of getting the A7s as a video camera but wanted to test the slog 2 footage to see if the work flow is worth changing for me. Is there anyone that would like to send me sample footage of NON GRADED slog 2 footage to play around with or even know a site where i could get some that would be awesome.

Re: Slog 2 Footage
I shot this Slog2 to the shogun and applied the LUT in resolve and did no additional grading. NOT the clip you asked for BUT sort of out of the box with minimal camera setup and minimal grading results.

Re: Slog 2 Footage
Hi Phil.
Such results should not satisfy you. I can not see any advantages of Slog2 in your pictures. All the dark areas are only black - without any details. As you can see (if i try to make it lighter) - there is no more picture information: Slog 2 is flat. This means - it makes black lighter and higlights darker. So that nothing is under- and nothing overexposed. A greater dynamic range. Simple aplying LUT make ist just reverse. In my opinion: Until you do not fine tuning - correction specific to every picture (or different LUTs) - its useless. |

Ivan - Have you had a chance to download some Slog-2 from the A7s? That is,original video files? I am definitely NOT a colorist and don't shoot much RAW or LOG but am just learning what different cameras can do.

Re: Slog 2 Footage
I am using my own A7s for two months now. Slog2 is tricky, but i am happy to have now results like this.
