Ax100 tips
So my trusty hfg30 went caput and got a very good used ax100 now the safety isle shot no problem for hfg30 . How do people use the ax100 for their isle shot do you go manual with iris over 5.6 or just use auto let the camera choose? Low light church Saturday will the ax100 drift focus? Also do you zebra at 75 or 100 %
Am I right in thinking it over exposes ? The 4K footage seems a little soft on my practicing? Do I use 100 Mbps or 60. Any other tips would be appreciated ! Cheers steve |

Re: Ax100 tips
DON'T USE 1080p. It's really soft. UHD 60mbps vs 100mbps is close but you can see a difference in the darks.
As long as people aren't walking in front of it, focus shouldn't drift. Sometimes I throw it up high on a lightstand/ballhead. I almost trust the AF more than the manual setting on the AX100... Exposure is usually pretty good. Maybe about a -.5EV would do the trick. You don't want to under expose. Keep that lens right at the sweet spot F/4.0. |

Re: Ax100 tips
Cheers Nate excellent buddy. Sometimes I am seeing under exposure but when I brighten the picture it looks great. I agree going 4K then down scale better. Cheers
