Re: X70 4K night news ENG low light high gain
OMG, I just shot the most amazing video........in X70 4K. Will probably get my nominated for an Emmy, no joke. If you are awake you can watch the X70 footage on 10News.com's live stream starting at 4:30AM Pacific time. House fire with a rescue......see how soft the video looks without adding sharpenning in post.

Re: X70 4K night news ENG low light high gain
You just have to arrive BEFORE the authorities. :)
You should have seen my live X70 coverage of a 2nd alarm fire yesterday morning, my live picture was up for like 45 minutes, flames shooting 50 feet out of the top of a hotel! The other photogs in the cut ins and package are shooting JVC 790's, which do you think looks better? I also have done a brand new color correction set on my camera, looks MUCH better than my previous settings. Adjustments made to RED and BLUE, left yellow alone this time. 2-alarm blaze engulfs La Mesa motel - 10News.com KGTV ABC10 San Diego 2-alarm blaze engulfs La Mesa motel - 10News.com KGTV ABC10 San Diego Paul |

Re: X70 4K night news ENG low light high gain
Give these a try.
Mem1 Color Phase 10, Range 10 Mem1 Revision, Phase +6 Mem2 Color Phase 31, Range 2 Mem2 Revision, Saturation -15 ALL OTHER SETTINGS LEFT AT DEFAULT. I spent a lot of time trying to resolve my problem with green blacks in very high gain, and WB shift settings that were not consistently usable when switching between presets and full AWB. In 4K mode, I set detail to 0 as well, and you will see some blue spreckles in ITU709. Oh yeah, these are ITU709 values, the other color modes will probably not be 100% happy with those color adjustments. To test these out, put them in the next PP up or down from your current favorite, and point the camera at different colorful things while switching back and forth. Also see how you like them at full gain, night LED lights etc. :) Paul |
