Sony FDR-AX100 eyecup at DVinfo.net

If you have an AX100, my #1 accessory purchase would be an eyecup for the viewfinder. I found one on eBay that fit my camera perfectly and it makes a huge difference, especially since I wear glasses.

Mine was $39.95 on eBay. It's the one made for the Sony PXW-X70, but it fits the AX100 perfectly. $40 for a piece of rubber seemed a little high -- mine is a Sony so cheaper third-party eyecups may be out there -- but it's usefulness makes it easily worth it.

Anyway, just wanted to let those researching before getting the camera or new owners (like me) know about this.

If you want, let me know and I'll post the link where I bought it, but a quick eBay search will get you there. Can't remember if there are other sellers, but mine was delivered very quickly.

If you can post the link I'd appreciate it. I just put a (Nikon) eyecup on my Sony A7II and it made a big difference.

I did find this Greek seller with a good feedback rating:

I found these doing a search for "Eye Cup PXW-X70" and "Eye Cup FDR-AX100".

A Google search showed that Full Compass Systems also had them for sale online at a reasonable price ($42 including shipping).

I'd say it's definitely worth the price.

These work great on the AX100 and the X70, and they're only about $5.

The extra small round works on both.
