PXW-X70 Assigning Custom PP's?
Hi, I'm a little unclear on how to assign custom PP's. I would like to customize a couple PP's, for example PP4, but I would also like to maintain PP4 default setting as well. I believe a custom PP can be assigned to a button when wanted? If so, how would I maintain the PP default when wanted? If anyone could please explain the setup along with the steps needed for each process to switch back and fourth I would sincerely appreciate it. Thanks, Ray

Re: PXW-X70 Assigning Custom PP's?
First, decide upon an unused PP (e.g. PP5). You can then do this:
Menu | Camera Set | Picture Profile | PP4 | Setting | Copy | PP5 Answer 'Yes' when asked if you wish to Copy PP4 to PP5. You can then go into PP5 and adjust settings as needed. Finally, you can use assignable button #3 (defaults to Picture Profile) to allow you to select which profile to use. Or, assign Picture Profile to another button as needed. As far as I know, there's no way to directly assign a certain PP to a button. You can only have it bring up the PP selection menu. Still, will be easy to switch between PP4 and your customized PP4 (stored in the PP5 slot) |

The only thing that differentiates the PP's is the color mode and gamma. You can make any picture profile another by simply adjusting these two settings.
I use the same PP data in all of my PP's, I just have adjustments to the white balance in each one for various things like AWB mode. Paul |
