Does anyone have a good camera case for transporting the X70?

Re: camera case
If you need something that will last at least 20 years, then this is has been the standard for broadcast cameras.

Re: camera case
Not sure how much other gear you need to bring with you besides just the X70, but I swear by my Pelican 1510 cases with the padded dividers. Carry-on ready and lots of space.

Re: camera case
I use a small Nikon DSLR case I found at Best Buy. It was $70, but it fits my X70 perfectly. The shotgun mic sticks out from under the top hatch, but oh well.....heh.

Re: camera case
Why not take the camera and mic etc into a camera shop and try various cases out. Most cases of around the size of Paul's will do, it depends on how much other stuff you want to put in. I use a back pack to contain everything including cables etc, but if 'ENG' will carry the camera set up with the mic attached in a soft bag over my shoulder ready for use. I also have a Pelican case for long distance travel in Thailand to keep dust etc out.

Re: camera case
That is what I did Mike. :)
And for reference, my Nikon case will fit the X70 with the handle attached, and fully encases the camera mic if you flip it backwards. It also has enough room with a divider to put 6 stock batteries, a side pocket for filters a DSC chart, a top net for a lav, earphones, SD cards etc. If you take the handle off, there is enough room (and dividers!) to lay the X70 on top of a Neewer CN160 LED. heck, I used to put the camera with handle in the case on top of the LED, and if you don't mind the top cover humping up a little, it all fits nice and tidy. Re: camera case
I use a manfrotto veloce backpack which is very handy. $80 @ Amazon. Fit my NX7OU perfectly and had a ton of room for cables, batteries, headphones, mics xlr cables. And it leaves your hands free for the tripod. I have a second backpack for the x70. It's a little more snug but it fits. I do have to take the mic off tho.
