Sony PXW-X70 vs X70C
Anybody who could tell me what the C means in Sony PXW-X70C? Is it the same camcorder as X70?

There is usually an E (not C) to indicate that itīs a PAL version of a camcorder. E as in European, I suppose. Sometimes I have also seen a P on the PAL version, but never a C

I see three vendors for the C model are Italy, Spain and Finland. According to Wikipedia, these countries used to be PAL, but have changed to NTSC. So possibly they can switch between PAL/NTSC frame rates in the camera menu or possibly it's the list of languages that the menu uses.

LOL! Steve, you got me there! Okay so... they dropped PAL as a transmission standard and went to something called DVB-T for terrestrial broadcasting. Yeah, what was I thinking? (why would anybody switch from PAL to NTSC this late in the game). So, that would not have any affect on camera types.

The USA dropped NTSC too, went to ATSC......I think the DVB stuff is 49.95 frames per second? :)
