PXW-X70 mics: xlr only or internal only ? at DVinfo.net

I can't mix the internal with the XLR , it will be one or the other. Problem is that when I use a shotgun (ATR875r) XLR +phantom on channel 1 then I can't have the channel 2 on the internal mic for ambient . Adding a second XLR omni for ambient looks like the only solution but then where am I going to put it?

Another small problem is caused by the screws of the handle that come lose easily. It happened twice already and the first time I thought that I didn't tie'em enough but the second time I did. So careful people, check those two screws often
