recommend an external recorder for X70 at DVinfo.net

I will be getting the X70 soon. What would be a good external recorder to go with it? not sure if the future 4K upgrade will we be able to record internally or via external only or both? Is the Shogun a good choice? I presently owned an EX1 can the Shogun be used also?

I don't own either, but the EX-1 appears to have an SDI output which should work fine with the Shogun, or even the Samurai. Of course if you want 4K the Shogun is the one to get.

Shogun, yes for 4K... if you want to spend an amount nearly equal to the price of he camera. Do you need external recording? Just asking because the x70 can record to both SD cards at the same time (Simul mode)?
