The image is softer than it should be. The one-off relay lens was originally set up for close-coupling a Sony PD150 to a Pyser PNP-HG. The distances from display to relay and relay to camera lens are very critical, otherwise there is an expanding ring of sharp image when the camera lens is pulled through focus instead of the whole frame focussing sharp.
The Electrophysics Corp Astroscope, ENG camera version via the P+S B4 mount adaptor would work better however it is also seriously unaffordable and unjustifiable for intermittent work it would find over here. The firies here have portable FLIR for finding hotspots after a burn and it apparently works in daylight.
