Underwater with SI2K or Mini?
How would you record underwater with these camera? Are there any underwater enclosures? If not underwater, what about waterproof enclosures?

Underwater Housing
There have been several underwater shoots that have been done with the SI-2K Mini including for the BBC/Discovery Channel where the camera went into the rivers and waterways in Alaska to film Salmon.
The housing was built by: Bob Cranston 31755 Calle de Talar Bonsall, CA 92003-4819 USA Ph# 858-395-3591 bob@bobcranston.com You may also contact Steve at Head Design. He is developing a range of extreme environment housings for the camera, including underwater: Steve Waterford HeadDesigns steve.waterford@headesigns.com 954-554-5433 |

We didnt shoot underwater, we shot in a pool at water level with a wavemaker and this is what worked:
just rent a standard water proof Nylon case and a spinner glass (to remove the drops from the lens)If you still need focus and iris acces. beneathe the nylon enclosure we nylon wrapped (with foodwrapping nylon) every possible connection and cable we even wrapped the LCD so the DP had full acces to the camera in the water good luck |
