My first attempt at a music video

Here's the fruits of a day's labour using two Canon XL-2's and editing on a Casablanca-Prestige with smart-edit 4.

Hallowed Ground by Scottish rock band 'Logan'.

Hey Sheldon, I like it when people don't get it (lol). There isn't really much to get and that's deliberate. I followed the simple rules for a rock video which were cars, motorbikes and a hot looking female...

I used a Jimmy Jib crane and a tripod, no steadicam although I do operate one from time to time.

Thanks for looking.

Shot at 25p Rudi, it's a PAL version... It looks better off tape though. I played with the gamma and contrast quite a bit in post.

Thanks Adam, looking at it I can see all the bits I'd do differently next time, it was a bit too rushed on the day with technical problems delaying the shoot, bit overall I'm fairly happy with how it turned out.

It goes out on a UK rock cable channel called Scuzz in January and on (fingers crossed) Mtv2 from early February, assuming the single charts high up the UK rock chart enough. The last one made number 12...

Thanks Rudi, it's currently getting a once a night airplay on Scuzz thanks to someone there who likes the band. I'm told it'll go daytime next month,, so looking forward to seeing it. http://scuzz.tv/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1

Any chance of a look at your video Rudi ?
