Damn these guys are good.
It's just my opinion, but after looking at the teaser for their film The Collective and ROAM, I must say I'm quite impressed. I have seen plenty of extreme sports videos, most with big jumps with terrible rock music from unsigned bands jamming in the backgroud. These kids have added a very artistic feel to it. I could watch these teasers over and over and have ordered their Collective video.
I like the ROAM teaser, it show lots of "behind the scenes" shots of their filming. It's alway nice to get a glimpse of whats going on behind the camera and "how did they do that?". Check it out.. http://www.thecollectivefilm.com/index.html |

Wow!
Awesome. Excellent music. Love the slowmo. Especially impressed with the 'high-wire' shots. I was blown away by the last shot on the Collective teaser. Definitely had to take a few looks at it. Impressive to say the least.
Thanks for the heads up on this site. I'm ordering the dvd too. |

Although the jumps amaed me, one of the most amazing things on that teaser I thought was the guy who rode his bike very slowly along a railing, and then along the chain that linked two sections of the railing!

I know someone that has built a similar rig for the movie project that they are working on. I wouldn't be worried so much about myself as I would be about damaging the camera! Those guys acheived some amazing shots from it though.

Cablecam is still in prototype stages really even on the pro rigs. The guy I told you about also did some work on Charlie And The Chocolate Factory where their cablecam failed and dumped $100k or more worth of film camera into the chocolate river!
Good luck, and take care! |

i reviewed the collective in my independent film review podcast, "Off the Grid."
if you can see The Collective on the big screen, don't miss it. those cable-cam shots are even more mind-blowing. also, i recommended a coupla other adrenaline films. here's the link, if anyone is interested: http://www.ourmedia.org/node/101497 or http://ia300211.us.archive.org/0/ite..._the_Grid1.mp3 |

WoW! I wish I had the resources and time to have that much fun.
Filming is fun. I love every minute of it. But people here know how limiting time and finances can be. |

Yea, you would be good too if your dad owned the biggest ski resort in North America. Jamie's family owns Whistler/Blackcomb, filthy stinkin' rich with lots of toys and money at his disposal.

agree with Adam...you can't buy vision.
you can however buy all the equipment that lets you fulfill that vision. |
