New Music Video
Here is the link for my newest music video for Rap artist Nitro from Oklahoma. It was shot on a Panasonic DVX100A in one LONG day. I'd really appreciate any feedback/comments. Right click on the link and "save file as" to download the video. - Mario

Fellow Okie here...any reason you went with a low-shutter and not a high one? A bit cliche I know but most rap videos are all about cliche...and you have every other one in there =o) Also, you need a lot more focal lengths, everything is very medium, upper half, framing, that can get dull. Get a wide lens or a fisheye and throw those shots in there as well as some tight close-ups. On the CC, I would have gone more saturated and less crushed...

Yes, check the XL2 forums. I have used the Canon XL series cameras since day 1 and have developed most the custom looks for the XL2 and XL1s. I used to shoot all over the world but now I am settling down as I just had a kiddo. Surprising how much work there is to do just in OK... and, believe it or not I often make more on local stuff than in Dallas and LA. That being said, I currently have 3 national/international projects in various stages of development... You guys send me your info and I will throw work your way, I turn down stuff all the time...

Just wondering but, what did the clients pay for the video. and are you using a matte box? cause in some of the shots, theres like a black line on the left.

Hey,
The longer I use this forum, the more I become convinved that we got some great skill coming from Oklahoma... maybe the best. I mean, everyone is familiar with the legend that is Ash Greyson. His comments have definately helped me tweak my xl1s. |

that goes without saying that it couldn't have been better, as posted the color could have been richer but you had the edit and feel for the genre.
