Hey ‘guys’, nice job!

Likeed the “New Camera Day” title… always interesting to learn the new operating system, and the local park walk was a good opportunity.

Really liked the show-’n-tell part of the setups for the still shots, and the flower shots in the timeline were gorgeous. It’s helpful to be knowledgeable about the plants and animals, too, for sharing little details with the viewer.

Nice mix of kit equipment to pull this off as a two-‘man’ shoot. I’ve been trying to do something kinda similar (different subject matter) with a Sony X3000 sport cam, video cams, a7iv, and assorted kit items. The a7 menu is still a work-in-progress. So much to learn, so little time.

Thank you it is always nice to get good feedback we are still learning every day and we both feel like rookies vlogging 😂 I love the new camera especially for the focus bracketing plus now my wife can finally stop stealing my Camera .With having my Sony A1 I am getting used to the Sony menus and make my own custom menus for each one.Thank you for watching.

I have a couple of Sony A7R3's and like them a lot but what caught my attention is your Jeep...

There's a saying: "If you want to take cool pictures, point the camera at something cool. But if you want to take interesting photographs you need to become a more interesting person." The fact that everyone now has a cell phone camera and thinks there a photographer, I'm going to add a line to that saying: "If you want to take photographs that people haven't seen before, you have to go where they aren't."

That's where the Jeep comes in. About three years ago I started my battle with cancer. It changed my perspective and reprioritized my life. I loved my career but I didn't want to continue doing things the same way. I wanted to travel to go to places most people don't go so I started building my Overland Jeep.

Over that three years we've spent about six months in the Roof Top tent traveling around the US. Here's a compilation of that. I'm still not quite ready to travel too remotely but as my health improves hopefully I can go to more remote places. Now I need to work on becoming a more interesting person.

Your videos have played a big part at inspiring me to pull together my photography, visual storytelling, getting away from the grid and taking my time. I'm not there yet but the odyssey is so much fun. Thanks

That's a beautiful Jeep, Chuck. Really nice looking. Fortunately I haven't had any major health issues (knock on wood), but I'm not waiting around for that to happen. We've been traveling the lower 48 by RV for a number of years. We had a 40' class A diesel that we sold last winter so we can be smaller and more mobile. Loving the switch to a small Airstream. Our big upcoming trip is a 3-month journey to Alaska next summer. Really looking forward to it. I think that is when I will officially call myself retired.

First of all love your Jeep setup thats the way to do it .Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m thrilled and super inspired to read that my videos have inspired you on your journey to go off gridpicking up photography and visual storytelling.I remember when me and my wife still lived in Belgium we had a mobile home and would be out almost every weekend and free times camping and being outdoors is the best way of seeing places where not many people go.Our goal is when I retire in couple of years to buy a 4x4 campervan and travel travel travel. Just got back from Norway and they have free to roam and camp anywhere can't wait to go back there but then with campervan the option to free camp or even paid camp in Florida are really bad and booked years ahead but lucky we have the swamp to escape.

I loved your video compilation great music too.The fact that you’ve spent six months camping in a rooftop tent on your awesome jeep while battling cancer that is so inspiring to hear so forget about becoming a more interesting person because you are one already and on top that a cancer kicking badass you are truly inspiring.

I love those Airstreams they just have such a great look I never been to Alaska just because I think I would not be happy to go there just for a couple of weeks because it so nice so is on our list to go when we retire so 3 month Alaska is the way to start a well deserved retirement great plan.

My wife and I have been to Alaska, out walking in the tundra. Years ago we were extremely lucky we never ran into any bears. It was just sheer luck. When we returned to Sydney a month later we read where a pro photographer and his wife were killed by a Grizzly bear in the area we were in. Out walking is banned there now.

Personal bear sprays were not available when we were there, but every time you go outdoors make sure you’ve got yours and you know which pocket it’s in. But it’s great country you won’t experience anything like it anywhere else.
