Belleville Mine, NV

The video features my visit to the Belleville Mine and Mill in Nevada.

This is the first in a series of videos from my 2018 trip, where I explored old mines, mining camps, ghost towns and other historic sites in Nevada and the Mojave desert. I'll soon be posting more videos from my trip.

Nice piece Ray. I'm kind of surprised that it took in only $27,000. Did that even cover his expenses?
What gear did you use for this shoot, and did you have to deal with permits?

I don't know. That was during the Great Depression, so $27k would have been worth a lot more than it is now. On the other hand, a great many mining ventures failed because they couldn't make a profit.

The aerial shots were done with Mavic Pro. I had two different hand-held gimbal/camera rigs for doing the on-the-ground stuff. If I remember correctly, the shots in this video were mostly done using a Canon PowerShot Elph 360 on a Zhiyun Crane M. I also had a Zhiyun Crane 2, for use with my Canon Rebel T71, which I used at some of the other locations, but I don't think I used it at this site.

No permits were needed to film there.
