Merry Christmas, fellow DVinfo.net users! To celebrate the holidays this year, I decided to upload my award-nominated short, "The Christmas Valentine" to Youtube. It was my first semester final project while I was at Chapman University's MFA film program back in 2008. The Nikon D90 had just come out so this was the first HDSLR short done at Chapman. The film had to be silent and have a beginning, a middle incident or dilemma, and a conclusion. The film was shot mostly with a Nikon 50mm 1.2 lens and the kit 18-105mm zoom, natural or existing light, handheld CFL worklight for one shot, and nets or strands of Christmas lights.
