That's a heartful, yet also haunting piece of work there Brian.

Re: The Hunter's Harp

I know this is a "show your work" category but it would be good if you could share some info when you post a video as now it's not clear why you post this, do you want some feedback, or do you just want to show it? Did you shoot the video? Maybe what camera's or soundequipment where used or other interesting background info would be nice to know as well as a viewer.

Re: The Hunter's Harp

I have been posting a series of vignettes for a while.
The first one had this explanation:
"This is the first vignette released, with many more to follow (as well as a full length documentary). The project is exploring the traditional music, dance, masks and ceremonies in Mali, and the reasons that they are in danger of disappearing."
I am doing the filming and editing, Paul Chandler is producing and directing, and we work with a small production team here in Mali.
I'm filming with a 5dmii, 70d, T3i, XA10, and a Sony nx30, and editing with FCP 6 and FCPX (which has sped up everything enormously).
Feedback would be great and is always welcome, but just showing the complexities of Mali's amazing and diverse culture is motivation enough to post in 'show your work'.
