"A Fireman"
Here's a little clip assembled from some old behind-the-scenes camera vision which had been archived in SD DVD. The quality is not all that great but may interest people who are intrigued by fire stunts and other real staged effects.
The technician, Jeremy Shaw, is fully licenced and accredited. He apparently worked in New Zealand on the Peter Jackson original Lord Of The Rings series of films. He also makes exquisite character props and won an award for the "La Vau Du Mort" automated voodoo machine for John Soto's film "Needle". We are lucky to have his skills here in Western Australia to call upon. Sadly our industry is but a poor cousin to the happenings on the East coast and he is underemployed in his chosen craft. Eventually he will be lost to local production like so many competent folk here. Somewhat akin to the Irish during the potato famine, "to get up you must first get out."
