Autumn Day
I picked up a Canon XA10 last weekend, but didn't have a chance to test it until this weekend because of bad weather. So yesterday I headed to a local park and shot some footage. I must say, the XA10 is a pretty good little camera; the image quality it produces is excellent considering it uses just a single 1/3" image sensor. Most of the footage from this camera that you see on the web doesn't really do justice to the uncompressed images you see when editing. The camera is actually quite easy to use in spite of the fact that most of its controls are accessible through a touch-screen menu, and I love the large focus ring it has, too.
The video was shot in 24p using 1/24 shutter speed, f5.6 aperture, auto white balance, and with 1/8 neutral density and Cinema filters activated. Additional colour correction was done in Sony Vegas to make the colours a little punchier. Enjoy. |
