A Few Early Spots With My XL2
They aren't great because I shot these a few days after I bought the camera. I hadn't tested it completely at that point but let me know what you think. I'll post up more recent stuff soon.
PS Sorry, they are windows media files for all you great mac people and I don't think they'll play. But you're welcome to try. http://www.fueldfilms.com/Sleepwalker.wmv http://www.fueldfilms.com/Crosswalk.wmv |

Hi Ben,
Very nice work; couldn't help but enjoy! I'm moving the thread over to DV For The Masses forum from XL2 because given the compression, your clips really demonstrate your abilities more than those of the XL2, and you'll get a lot more views. BTW, an issue a lot of folks are sensitive about here at DVinfo: are the rights secured for the music used? Best wishes and keep on filmin'!

I'll apologize now for people who are sensitive on music rights. The songs are not secured. I also didn't make a dime on the spots nor have I used them or will use them for financial gain. If it is an issue with even one person please let me know and I'll take them down.

Funny, clever, nice vibe... try to put in more super tight pick-up shots. In Sleepwalker, you could have cut to a supertight shot a few times and really made it look even better, like of the soda going into his cup, of his grabbing the candy bar, etc. Also, I thought the fake mustache was distracting.
On the second one, again, some more even tighter shots of his face and maybe one of the soap dispenser. Still, ultimately the point came across, so for that, a pat on the back... ash =o) |

Dang, both videos choked 50% ay through. First one chocked when he reached into his skivies for some cash (or was he scratching his butt?).
Second one choked when the dude came out of the bathroom and said "thanks again" Err..it looked like it was just getting better... |

Not sure what the deal is. They both are working fine for me. Try them a gain if you haven't already. Thanks for watching.

The second one was inspired
I enjoyed the 7/11 one, but man, that bathroom thing was just hilarious.
